How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?

1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.

2) Donate Goods - Our all-volunteer charity is based in the Dallas area, but receives product donations from across the USA for care packages for our Soldiers and Troops overseas. We kindly request that you contact us at support@airborneangelcadets.com before sending any care package goods.

Soldiers message from Afghanistan

We have been quite busy here in lovely Afghanistan. We have reached our 6-month mark so all of us are somewhat stressed in some form or another. Also, we have been participating in some heavy offensive and defensive missions.
The majority of behavioral health officers I served with in Iraq have opted to exit the military and are now civilians. However, myself and 2-mental health specialists are more than happy to continue to receive even more packages! In fact, my one mental health specialist .... has received about 12-boxes ... and has contacted a Doctor from our unit who monthly provides medical support to an orphanage. In September ... we are going to conduct a visit and deliver all the clothes and shoes. It should be one of those feel good moments.
DVDs would be great! We do have a DVD library for Soldiers to come and borrow movies. Now, after hours, Soldiers come in to take advantage of the television and watch all kinds of movies as well. Also, Soldiers enjoy series like, Sex in the City, M.A.S.H., Scrubs, and almost any actually.
Though we have been very busy, we did enjoy a 4th of July BBQ thanks to y'all and I have mailed you some pics. Yes, we are planning for the Luau now and spreading the word so everyone on our base will be able to take advantage of it. This time, we are also planning some fun interactive activities like the limbo, hot dog eating contest, and we're thinking of a hula hoop contest, but that would be if we could get a few hula hoops. I know they maybe difficult to mail, but if you have anyone willing to donate hula hoops.
Other than hula hoops, we could use maybe some different snack items that would be considered luau appropriate that could be mailed.
Other than luau items, we are still mostly just in need of snack items and personal hygiene items. Oh, I have completely run out of Tea Tree Therapy - Tea Tree Toothpicks. I know they're quite expensive so I was wondering if I funded them, if y'all could purchase them at Whole Foods? That's were I had bought them in bulk prior to my deployment and then I mailed them to myself. If you could, that would be great!
