How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?

1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.

2) Donate Goods - Our all-volunteer charity is based in the Dallas area, but receives product donations from across the USA for care packages for our Soldiers and Troops overseas. We kindly request that you contact us at support@airborneangelcadets.com before sending any care package goods.

Some feedback from our U.S. military care package recipients

We will continue to send care packages to our American military troops (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) serving overseas in 2014. Below are some recent responses from Afghanistan and the Mideast which give you some insights into the current living conditions and the continued appreciation for care packages.

Some of the items specifically mentioned are twin sheets, air fresheners, thick socks, snacks, jerky, chips, candy, seeds, hand sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, loofahs, dental floss, cups, paper towels and napkins. We continue to collect product donations from companies, groups, and individuals and use financial donations to purchase needed items as well. As always, the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas welcome your support.

After speaking with all the company first sergeants, it looks like around half of our Soldiers still don't have sheets which is around 90 to 100 personnel at this location.  I will take whatever you send and give them to the lowest ranking Soldiers first.

Dear Airborne Angels of Texas,
Three years ago, I saw Soldiers become the beneficiaries of your generosity. I worked as a Battalion Chaplain in a northern region of Afghanistan with the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade.  It was amazing to watch Soldiers realize that somebody outside their own unit realized that they were there and cared for their condition. I am now assigned to a Combat Support Hospital at Fort Hood and we anticipate deployment to both Kuwait and Afghanistan in the next few months.

THANKS for sending us all those Care Packages!!  Wow, very kind of you.
I'll definitely get them passed out all around.  Grateful for your support,

I pulse the companies each week, and do ensure that the Marines who do not have a strong support network stateside receive packages that are donated.

I don't want to ask you for anything extraordinary, all I need is just small items such as;

-any air freshener like febreze (The guys stink up the barracks on the quickness after missions).
-winter socks (it's getting really really cold over here. It's going to get into the negative degrees so thick socks would be much appreciated.)
-microwavable mac n cheese. (i like mac n cheese)
-snacks (jerky, chips, candy ext. anything to munch on during missions. We're out on route for over 12 hours sometimes and we get awfully hungry.)

... Thank you so much for your support and having our backs ...  It makes me feel that I'm risking my like for a purpose. It gives more meaning to doing my job and it really motivates me to do my job well. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.
Very Respectfully, Specialist (California National Guard)

Our biggest "sellers" (giving out care package donations) are Jerky, Seeds, hand sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, loofas, socks and dental floss.
If your organization wouldn't mind, we have a morale area set up for our troops to come relax ... we supply lots of coffee, cocoa and tea to them. We are in need of cups and paper towels/napkins for this and would appreciate any help, if possible.  -- Please don't feel any pressure to accommodate this request. :)
