How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?

1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.

2) Donate Goods - Our all-volunteer charity is based in the Dallas area, but receives product donations from across the USA for care packages for our Soldiers and Troops overseas. We kindly request that you contact us at support@airborneangelcadets.com before sending any care package goods.

Care Packages with Lightsabers? Maybe not. Knives? Yes.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' was just crowned the Movie of the Year at the MTV Movie Awards. Below is a fun video from a U.S. Soldier in Kabul, Iraq.  We have shipped many care packages to Kabul.

While we may not have not shipped lightsabers in our care packages (not sure on that), we do have requests (for real) from several of our Air Force contacts in the Mideast requesting knives.  For budgetary or other reasons, the military does not always supply our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines with all the maintenance tools and supplies they would like to have at remote locations. There are legions of U.S. troops providing critical maintenance and repair operations for every vehicle, aircraft, and piece of equipment in the field.

"Also as for knives what my guys are hoping for is like a foldable knife that is useful for opening packages, and cutting items. Nothing fancy you just don't realize how useful a knife is until you don't have one lol."

"For us to provide outstanding support here, our unit could use many basic (maintenance) items that are just in short supply here (or not supplied at all)."

"The knives on base sold out the first day we got here and another shipment won't come in for about 3 months."  (maintenance personnel on an airbase in the Mideast)

- Benchmade or SOG folding knives
- Leatherman Tools
- Battery Operated Power Tools
- 220 volt desk lamps and bulbs
- Camelbaks
- Mechanics Gloves (M,L)
- Flashlights, Reflective Belts, Packing Tape
- Gerber knives

If any supporters can help with donations of these types of tools and supplies (from any manufacturer), or funds to purchase these items, we would greatly welcome the support. The troops would certainly appreciate these additions to our care packages.  Thanks.
