How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?

1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.

2) Donate Goods - Our all-volunteer charity is based in the Dallas area, but receives product donations from across the USA for care packages for our Soldiers and Troops overseas. We kindly request that you contact us at support@airborneangelcadets.com before sending any care package goods.

Care Packages - Putting troop numbers into perspective

The Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas ship care packages to U.S. military troops who we communicate with on a regular basis.  Though our care packages might reach 12,000 of the most remote troops each year, this represents a small portion of the American men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.  How many Americans serve in our Armed Forces?

From these troops, it is estimated about 225,000 are deployed outside the U.S. and it's territories in 2016.  These troops, estimated to be stationed in about 170 countries, are the focus of our care package mission.  And more specifically, we concentrate a large proportion of our care packages on the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The 2016 Index of U.S. Military Strength reports, "Operationally, the Army has 140,130 soldiers forward stationed across 150 countries."  And further reports, "Worldwide, over 31,000 Marines are forward deployed and engaged."  And many thousands of Airmen, Sailors, and Coast Guardsmen are added to the numbers of U.S. troops serving overseas.
