A great time was had by all at the Unite for Troops Veterans Day Event in Irving, Texas on Veterans Day. The community came out to salute the veterans and active duty military members. They brought items to be included in care packages for the troops serving overseas and stayed to enjoy the food, kid activities and live music. Volunteers sorted the donated goods and packed 225 flat rate boxes. Also, the community donated funds to help with the care package shipping costs.
