About Us - Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas

Being a flight attendant and seeing many of our soldiers on flights
going to Iraq, I asked the moms if they would like to get together
and send boxes to the troops. I got a resounding "yes" from
everyone. I did some research and found several sites where we could adopt
a soldier and/or a platoon. We decided to adopt a platoon and support them
throughout the duration of their deployment. We get together about once a month to box up packages, often with a
theme (Christmas, Easter, Texas, etc) to send to the troops.
So many of these soldiers are very young and their families are in no
position to send them anything, or they have joined the military to escape
their families and to find a new one. Whatever their reason for joining,
and however you may feel about the war, these soldiers are making a huge
sacrifice, and for many, the ultimate sacrifice. I do not want
them to be forgotten and want to continue to let them know that they are
thought about, prayed for and appreciated. It's the least we can do. Nancy Carter, Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas
