Excerpt of letter from Officer in 2nd Infantry Div. based in Fort Lewis, WA.
"The brigade was involved in the actions currently being reported on both Fox News and NPR. After the explosion in the fuel distro center (Iraq), two of our Strykers, one each from 5-20 IN and 2-3 IN, were engaged by insurgents with VBIEDS (Car Bombs). Nine Soldiers were wounded, but none of them suffered life threatening injuries; seven of them have been returned to duty already. One of the Soldiers has been evacuated to Balad for ruptured eardrums, another Soldier remains under observation at the CSH in Mosul with a concussion. HQDA is currently conducting phone notifications for the Soldiers' next of kin."
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2026?
1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. 8 More Packages Arrive

We received all 8 packages...thanks again...There isn't anything left of them.
I've attached a couple more pictures, the guy pulling the funny face is one of our interpreters
who also grabbed some of the goodies.
Here's a funny story. One of our interpreters
grabbed a yo-yo that was in one of the packages.
He'd never played with one before, but he wanted to learn. Nobody told him that you had to tie a sliding knot, so he tied a regular knot around his finger with the string. We ended up having to cut the string to get it off his finger. Thanks again.
