The soldiers will love the ability to stay energized with the citrus flavor and vitamins thus helping them to stay hydrated too. Much needed on those long missions.

Ft. Hood Ceremony for returning soldiers

The awards ceremony in Killeen was absolutely unbelievable and the chance to meet SSG Michael Ellis and the other soldiers was so moving and memorable to me and the other Angels who attended. Michael gave each of us our long awaited hugs and then proceed to escort us to our seats front and center. We were one of 3 groups recognized as volunteer supporters and even the Battalion Commander, LTC Leafaina Yahn mentioned us in her speech.

We watched many of the soldiers receive awards as in the photo of Michael receiving the Bronze Star Medal in one of the pics. We were given a wonderfully framed award that is breathtakingly beautiful and certificates for the Angels that supported Michael's company while they were deployed.

Late summer 2009 emails from soldiers overseas

Here are some more emails received from our soldier contacts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We are all Maintenance Test Pilots. We're responsible for keeping the helicopters flying and fix whatever's broken. I'm the third one from the left.

We are not in desperate need of sheets or mattress pads but anything you send we can find a use for it. We have a DVD player that can be run on our computers so DVDs will be a blessing. All of our electricity are standard American 110V flat two prong plugs. We have the ability to get goodies to the outlying FOBs since we're a helicopter unit. We routinely travel to the outer FOBs to transport personnel and equipment.
The only special request is that we have no access to Gatorade or sport drinks. This summer was very brutal and the small packet of drink mixes that folks had sent from home was a welcomed sight. Any type of flavor to the water would be awesome.
I personally love cookies. Just the thought alone of receiving packages puts a smile on my face. Thank you for thinking of me and my soldiers.

we have been constantly on the move. we did recieve all the packages and we loved evry bit of it. we actually had some fun with the hawaiian decorations. the guys again appreciate everything that you ladies sent to us ... those packages lifted our spirits when we saw them espically after the missions we have done thses past 3 weeks. thank you again for everything. we have men and women and we have access to both 110 and 220 converter are hard to get and so are refrigarators. We have beds they are full size we do have access to local children being out on roads all the time. Any kinda food is also nice anything that's worth eating anyways ...
thank you for your reply and I really appreciate all your help and so do my soldiers it puts a smile on there face when I leave boxes of stuff out for them to grab whatever they want they really love it. Again thank you a lot we really appreciate it.
