On March 6, the Girl Scouts generously donated 20,820 boxes of cookies to the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas.
Local Army soldiers, Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas members and employees of Watt / Spohn-Universal worked hard to load and unload a 24-foot truck full of Girl Scout cookies into warehouse space that was generously donated by Watt / Spohn-Universal.
In the coming weeks, we will try to get these mailed out to 400 - 500 platoons in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Popcorn, coffee and flags are needed right now to be shipped together with the Girl Scout cookies. We should have enough CD's, playing cards and phone cards, which will also be added to these shipments.
The main packing party in March is scheduled for March 21 in Addison.
Mailing costs will be expensive - probably approaching $20,000 for these Girl Scout cookie shipments. So any help with this would also be greatly appreciated.
