QUOTE
I want to take a moment and thank you for your support. We are a small group of active duty sailors operating out of Umm Qasr, Iraq. It's comforting to know that we are not completely forgotten over here. I realize the American public probably thinks that we are "not" in Iraq, but I assure you that we are indeed still here.
Thank you again and I hope this letter finds all of the Airborne Cadets in great health and a satisfying life. Thank you sincerely, Kevin

The original handwritten message is a bit hard to read, so a digitized translation is shown above. The original (received February, 2013) can be seen below (click on image to enlarge). The U.S. military doesn't have a large number of troops in Iraq, but the troops that are deployed play a vital role in training Iraqi troops, performing logistical support related to supplies and equipment, protecting U.S. Government personnel, and other strategic missions.
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
