I just want to share a heartfelt thank you from Marine Attack Squadron 311. We received four boxes here at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan today. As we are a relatively new unit in town, the goodies and toiletries you provided were a huge help for our Marines because we haven’t completely “nested in” yet. The reminders of home (and of Texas!) were great on a day where we are all thinking of our Mothers already.
Thank you for the books, magazines, batteries, soap, shampoo, tuna, energy drinks, snacks, body wash, razors, fly paper, and deodorant. Please pass our thanks on to Annie of Grapevine High School and the kind people at “Travel and Transport”. We are honored by your patriotism and dedication to the men and women serving overseas, especially in these late years of such a long (but virtuous) battle in the GWOT. Your snacks and donations are appreciated, but more importantly your prayers and selflessness are reminders of those at home that think about us and wish for safe returns.
Semper Fidelis, Capt JB
