The Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas recently shipped care packages, which included 4th of July themed decorations that were donated by our great volunteers. Below is a response from one of our USAF contacts in Afghanistan who received some of these care packages.
I hope you all had a great 4th of July, ours was a success in much part to you. We had 11 events, and what you see was a great conclusion to the day. The attached pictures include a multitude of the dinner and band where everyone enjoyed your decorations.
... Your toiletries, snacks and all else are flying off the shelves!
It is great having no more room in our connex with everything received that should last a bit. I had a small group I gave boxes too yesterday requested for Camp Pinnacle which was just attacked. They didn't have much at all at their new location, so they will be very appreciative with everything you were able to provide.
I'd say the things that are needed most are toothpaste, toothbrushes, big soap, big body wash, and hair products, deodorant. Once again, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for all you do. You put smiles on the FACES of many!
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
