Below are some recent comments from our Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas contacts serving in Afghanistan. The comments give an idea of the type of items we include in our military care packages. If your company or organization has surplus of any care package type items that you could donate, we would welcome your inquiry.
"At the moment we are at a pretty remote area, we do everything out of tents...i.e., sleep, work, and eat. We have a small PX that is also out of a tent that limits us to a certain amount when buying. As far as our sleeping arrangement we have a 16 man tent with twin size beds"
"I think sheets would be great"
"some of the things that run out at the PX are body wash, toothpaste, sunflower seeds and hand sanitizer"
"when healthy snacks show up in the boxes, they go, just like certain toiletries (body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene, shaving cream being most notable)"
"hygiene items, food, snacks, entertainment, books, clothing needs, living needs (blankets), sports items (a football)"
"the liquid spray bio freeze is awesome especially after a grueling day."
"Extra sheets are always welcome"
"DVDs with good family content"
"When a package comes we all go through and decide who can use what the most as there are some soldiers here that do not recieve anything at all."
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
