Many thanks to all who generously donated $6,100 to the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas on North Texas Giving Day! The financial donations will help greatly in paying for our postage costs to ship care packages to military troops overseas. An additional 'enhancement' amount, yet to be determined, from the Communities Foundation of Texas will be added to the donations from our supporters.
Woman's World Magazine will publish a feature on the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas in their Oct. 20 issue. This edition will be on sale 10/9 - 10/15 and will encourage readers to send body wash, razors and deodorant for our care packages.
We are most grateful to Kimberly Clark for a great donation of multiple pallets of wipes. We know some Soldiers who will greatly appreciate these wipes.
Some wonderful JC Penney employees in New York will be sending us some great care package items for the troops.
Care package items requested by U.S. troops in Afghanistan in the past few weeks include:
* Granola / protein bars
* Jerky
* Canned / foiled tuna, chicken
* Pop tarts
* Trail mix, Crackers, Nuts
* Coffee, creamer, sugar, K-cups
* Shelf stable microwavable meals, Ravioli, Mac'n'Cheese
* Tide Pods
* Powdered drink mixes
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
