On April 11, 2015, the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas partnered with the Highland Park
(Dallas, TX) High School National Honor Society to pack care packages for two units
of troops deployed in Afghanistan and the Mideast. About 300 students, divided into two shifts, participated in
the activity.
The students were very organized and enthusiastic about the project.
They collected the food and toiletries, taped the boxes, packed them,
wrote thank you notes to put in the boxes and filled out the customs
forms, while the Angels served as consultants. When everything was done, over 100 priority boxes were ready to take to the Post Office.
It was an enjoyable morning that we look forward to repeating next year. We know the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines overseas who receive these care packages will greatly appreciate the hard work of these young volunteers!
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2025?
