U.S. military recipients of our April care package shipments are responding to the incoming boxes, and to the news that more boxes are coming from Highland Park High School's National Honor Society.
From Army SSG in Taji, Iraq:
"my soldiers are just excited to have stuff coming in".
From Soldier in Kandahar, Afghanistan:
"Oh wow... 55 boxes are on their way! You all must have had a big collection when working with the (Highland Park) NHS students. I received the dozen or so boxes of Girl Scout cookies and those are gone already ... shipped four of them off to a new unit ... that just recently stood up. They have it a bit more rough than we do here so I send all extra stuff to them."
From USAF Major in Kabul, Afghanistan:
"Wow, that's fantastic! I was not expecting any more after receiving all the delicious cookies over the past few weeks!!! The lemon cookies were a HUGE hit!"
From U.S. Sailor in Bahrain::
"Our Base has all Branches of US Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) ... We are out of supplies. Is there any how you can help to keep our Drop & Shop going?"
* Many of the Highland Park High School care packages are going to these troops.
From Soldier in Korea:
"We received two boxes of Girl Scout cookies, energy drinks, playing cards, and DVDs!!! What a treat for our Soldiers! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness! I'm confident everyone will enjoy the new movies and ... treats! Your support means so much!"
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
