Do we include anything other than foods and toiletries in our care packages to U.S. Military Troops overseas? We do! Actually, our non-food, non-toiletry items are sometimes the most valuable and appreciated items by the Troops.
Plain colored socks, towels, pillow cases, twin sheet sets, batteries, shoe insoles, DVD's, puzzle books, footballs, soccer balls, room decorations, air fresheners, pain relievers, underwear, wool caps, flip flops, playing cards, single use laundry detergent ... are some of the wide variety of items we send in our care packages.
Some of the more work-related items that are appreciated by the troops include mechanic's gloves, flashlights, multi-tools, drills, screwdrivers, and hand/foot warmers. Do they really appreciate these items? See four recent responses from troops in the Mideast.
