Here's a little peek behind the scenes and the hard work it takes to prepare for a care package packing party. The "Weekday Volunteers" sort and count items, tape boxes, tape lids on bottles and pre-pack some of the larger items prior to a packing party. When the packing day arrives, the tables are filled with the items ready to be packed. The packing party volunteers arrive to find everything setup and ready to go. This makes the packing, taping and labeling go much faster - which really helps as we usually pack for 12 units. That is a lot of food, snacks, toiletries and other goodies to prepare.
Organizing and packing the fun items for the theme, which, I'm sure you can guess, is 4th of July! |
Every packing party has a theme and we send fun things related to the theme. |
It takes many days to get ready for a packing party. |
A huge thank you to the hard working weekday volunteers for all of your hard work.
