Nancy C, the President of Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, received this heartwarming note in the mail the other day. It comes from one of our recipients serving in harm's way. She said it reminds her of why she started this organization 15 years ago and continues to support our deployed troops serving so far from home. We will never forget their dedication and commitment to our nation in keeping us safe. Sending them our care packages is the least we can do for their many sacrifices. Many folks don't realize that the military does not provide basic amenities for deployed troops. They must purchase these themselves or have them sent from home. Since many do not have families that can afford to send these things, troops do without.
