How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?

1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.

2) Donate Goods - Our all-volunteer charity is based in the Dallas area, but receives product donations from across the USA for care packages for our Soldiers and Troops overseas. We kindly request that you contact us at support@airborneangelcadets.com before sending any care package goods.

Care Package Thank You Letters

Here are some thank you letters were received from some of the units that have received the care packages we sent.

Ma'am,

We just received some more care packages!! I tried to get pictures but it was like flies to a light. I can't thank you all for what you do, the small pieces of home and notes mean so much.

This might sound like a strange request, but here it goes...

First off, we are blessed beyond measure by you folks. Previous to our arrival, our base had not been attacked in nearly a year. Since arriving in February, we have had more than a dozen attacks. Thankfully, we have not lost a single service member though psychologically it takes a toll. We have lost a couple of civilian contractors but not directly from the attack. All this to say that your help and support means much to us.

One of the things in working with our partners that I have noticed is that the USO does outstanding work in helping celebrate birthdays and promotions. A wonderful volunteer/coordinator, Bonnie, regularly works magic to make cupcakes, brownies, cakes, and other things. She has certain ingredients but lacks others. As I go out to units and ask what is needed, a First Sergeant will ask, "Chaplain, can you get us 15 cupcakes for SGT Smith and SPC Jones' birthdays?" It truly means a lot to these Soldiers.

She's more than willing but says she will do what she can but supplies are limited. I told her I would ask because if it is directly fulfilling a need, it may take some guesswork out of what is needed.

Here's what she reported:

Marshmallows (simply cannot have too many as she melts them down). She suggests bubble wrapping them as a protection from heat as they most likely go through 125 F Kuwait heat.

Fruity Pebbles

Golden Grahams

Rice Krispies

Chocolate Cake Mix

Any Other Cakes Mixes

We appreciate the consideration!

As soon as we got this request, we called our shoppers and they worked their magic. We managed to get boxes sent to him immediately, because that's what we do!!
