The Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, along with a few guests, packed over 350 care packages totaling more than $10,600 in shipping costs for 11 of our U.S. Military troops stationed in the Mideast, Africa and Eastern Europe at our "Greetings from Texas" packing party on March 7, 2026.
After we finished packing and the post office had picked up the boxes for 4 of the units, we received a security alert stating the military mail to certain zip codes in the Mideast were being temporarily suspended for at least 30 days due to the Iran conflict. We looked at the zip codes for our units and saw that 6 of our units were affected by this suspension! The post office site claimed that they would hold any mail already sent until such time If the suspension runs longer, they would return the boxes and we would need to submit for our postage reimbursement. We pray that this conflict is resolved soon so our men and women in uniform can receive their mail.
