For those looking for donation ideas for our care packages, we recently received responses from Soldiers and Marines mentioning Old Spice deodorant and Dr. Scholl's inserts. We regularly include deodorant in our care packages, but can always use more. We include foot powder (Gold Bond, etc.) as we have available, but have not mailed many shoe inserts. If you, or your company, can donate a few, we would welcome them. Thanks.
"It's funny you should mention that. I received a few boxes yesterday. I had made comments to some of my young Marines about how not so fresh they smell. They all snatched up the old spice and now they don't smell so bad. Thank you very much".
"I do have a question about an item I have been trying to acquire for the guys in my platoon. They are Dr. Scholls Active Series inserts for tennis shoes and boots. The terrain is real rough here and the heat makes it even more uncomfortable with the standard insoles with army boots. I tried a pair of these in my boots and it is like night and day. As I said, I have been trying to get in touch with Dr. Scholls myself, but can't find a direct e-mail to them, only phone numbers."
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
