The Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas held our Christmas care package packing party on November 19, 2014. Our Dallas - Fort Worth area volunteers packed about 600 cartons (postage costs over $10,000) for American military troops in Afghanistan, Africa, Iraq and the Middle East. We had some wonderful new volunteers from the Henry Holmes Breakfast Club in Irving, The Marketing Arm, Capital One and other hard working first timers. In all we had about 50 dedicated volunteers work well into the night to get these Christmas care packages mailed out to thousands of U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed overseas. Many thanks to all who assisted with volunteer effort, product donations and financial donations.
As the new warehouse management needs to utilize our space, we will vacate our space immediately after the packing party on November 19. We have put our inventory in storage, and are actively seeking a new home. We would be grateful for anyone who has information on possible new donated warehouse space for our all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
How can you help our nonprofit send care packages to some of the most remote of the roughly 150,000 U.S. military troops serving overseas in 2024?
1) Donate Financially - Our greatest need is cash for our mailing costs. With no paid staff, we strive to maximize the use of donations. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, so your gifts are tax deductible. We accept checks to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, P.O. Box 116691, Carrollton, TX 75011. You can donate via credit card through our Click and Pledge account. Or you can Venmo us at NancyCarter@AirborneAngels.
